Wailea: Maui’s Famous Resort Community
Wailea has been one of the more desirable locations to own property in all of Hawaii since its inception. In fact, the term “master-planned” community might as well have a picture of Wailea under its entry in the dictionary. These 1,500 acres are so well thought out, there will be many moments when you don’t feel like leaving!
With multiple championship golf courses, a bustling tennis club, snorkeling, diving, paddling, surfing and a meandering boardwalk path connecting some of the most pristine stretches of sand on Maui, Wailea has a rich variety of outdoor activities that rival anywhere else. Bordered by Keawakapu to the north, and Polo Beach to the south, this length of coastline is also home to Mokapu, Ulua, and of course, Wailea Beach (all connected by the aforementioned 1.5 mile long beach path).

Our history in Wailea
Our history in Wailea
“We love Wailea!” isn’t just a phrase said by our clients. Our team leader, Dano, lives here full time and our Broker in Charge, Christine has called these shores her home for a long time. The main Sayles Team office is located at Ho’olei; in fact, it has been for nearly 20 years.
We’ve attended numerous birthdays, celebrations, festive lunches/dinners, swimming lessons, golf and tennis tournaments, and just as importantly, enjoyed each other's company here in South Maui for decades.
There’s a certain, undeniable attraction to this community for locals and visitors alike. The weather, the walkability, the water…it’s truly one of the premier locations and destinations on an island and state that’s full of them. In many ways, Wailea defines the luxury resort lifestyle.
World-class amenities in your back yard!
Some of the best restaurants, shopping, spas and resorts all reside within Wailea. Whether you’re dining at the resorts (Nick’s Fishmarket at the Fairmont Kea Lani, Spago at the Four Seasons, Ka’ana Kitchen at the Andaz) or shopping center (Monkeypod in the Gateway Center, Lineage in The Shops at Wailea, Spoon & Key Market in Wailea Village) there’s gourmand options abound. The lush and tropical community landscaping is professionally maintained year round, there are wide streets and walking paths, utilities are all buried underground and private security ensures a true sense of comfort that is most often found in gated settings.
